No Dating, Thanks, Just Sex

ATTENTION ALL MEN: Women in New Zealand are now ditching dating in favor of getting drunk and cruising the town for men – and no we’re not mixing up the words “men” and “women” here.
If you’re not booking your plane flight already, you might be interested to know that women in New Zealand topped the Durex Sexual Wellbeing Global Survey last year – and incase that’s not clear enough for you – they were having MORE SEX than women in any other country.
NZ gals have sex with an average of 20 men in their lifetime, which for your reference is double that of British and Australian women, and almost three times the global average which is 7.
Janet McIntyre from TVNZ investigated the new dating scene:
“There’s a new kind of mating ritual sex is the point of entry into the relationship,” she reported. If the sex isn’t any good women won’t waste their time pursuing a relationship. “There’s no dating culture any more.”
Interviews showed that the women (who are in their twenties) felt empowered by having sex and wanted to celebrate and enjoy it.
McIntyre found that the girls jumping on the sex bandwagon are almost always drinking, a term they cleverly call “getting pissed and hooking up.” And, if you remember a few posts back, a high rate of women in the United States also admitted to being drunk during first sexual encounters.
The only part of this report I found laughable was when it went on to “report” that men were feeling the backlash of this behavior, and that The Sunday Star-Times’ Being a Bloke survey – yes, that’s really what it’s called – last year found that 29% of the 5,000 men surveyed felt they had been pressured into having sex or had had sex unwillingly.
I’m going to go on and report that the same 29% also admit to being “complete pussies” – yes that’s really how the question was phrased – on the survey.

And yet NYC is still thought of as the place to have sex in. Don’t you guys think it’s about time we made that true?
